Nigel Goodhew
Development Director
Nigel has over 30 years of experience in the provision of farm business, management and project development. He has over 15 years of experience in applying agricultural knowledge to the renewable energy industry, and now to Nature-Based Solutions in the UK.
Nigel’s earlier career was in commodity trading with one of the largest purchasers of grain for mills and export with Souflett, the French agro industrial/shipping giant. In 2003, he was invited by the Glasgows at the inception stage to help establish RidgeWind and was part of the senior management team until its sale in 2013.
During his time there, RidgeWind became one of the UK’s largest independent renewables developers with over 100MW of operational wind assets, more than 60MW under construction, and in excess of 100MW in pre-construction. With the added advantage of his farming experience it helps to fully understand the needs of our clients from farmers and landowners to planners and local communities.
